Dear Brothers and Sisters...

Watch out the comments of TDM and those with his type mentality. Everytime when he's having problem, he will divert to Singapore by saying something like this:-

"The Malays have seen what has happened to the Malays of Singapore and they have no desire to be like Singapore Malays. So their reaction is to seek Malay unity. They feel threatened, and their fear is real."

I don't know how much he knows about Singapore and Singaporean asspecially Malays in Singapore. I strongly don't agree even 1 percent to his comments on the Singapore Malays.

Personally I was working in Singapore for the past 20 years and most of my best friends as well as colleagues in Singapore are Singapore Malays. So allow me to share some of the knowledge that I know very well regarding Singapore Malays and their life style.

Half of my colleagues in my department are Singapore Malays

1)Almost all of them having car and big c.c motorbike and few of them keep on changing car just after few years of using it. For your info, not everyone can effort to have and maintain a car in Singapore because the cost is very expensive.

2)All of them having nice houses and fully renovated plus expensive decorations and expensive sound system such as BOSE, JBL etc.

3)Almost every year they go for overseas tour. Tour to Malaysia is almost monthly or weekly. Some of them going for Umrah yearly. Many of them already became Haji and Hajjah.

4)One of my Singapore Malay colleague is having few unique EXPENSIVE hobbies such as Mountain Climbing, so every year he and his wife will be spending thousands of dollars going around the world for Mountain Climbing and his another hobby is cycling, for that he bought a bicycle worth almost S$10,000 and with his group he will spending one or two weeks cycling from Singapore to all the main cities in Malaysia. He also has another expensive hobby which is riding big motorbike in a group. So for that he bought a big bike and always joining his group and go for motorbike tour around Malaysia till Thailand. When Projection TV was first introduced few years back, this guy bought 52 inches Projection TV and he renovated and transformed one of the room in his 5 room house became a soundproof room suits to become a home theatre and karoake room.

5)Almost all their kids having good education atleast with a diploma. (Please take note: According to my friend, ONLY Singapore Malays getting subsidy for education in Singapore. As for Chinese, Indians and others they need to come out thier own money for thier kids education.

6)One of my Singapore Malay friend, just traded in his car and bought a new car and immediately fully renovated it and transform it become a racing car. Only once when he joined the company I got the chance to see his original black hair after that till now I never get a chance to see him in Black Hair because almost twice in a month he will die his hair in golden and brown colour. The reason I'm saying this is because I want TDM to know how the Singapore Malay enjoy their life and on top of that to know what is their spending power.

7)My another friends and his family, almost twice in a month will make a trip to Melaka and other destination for SEAFOOD.

So, I don't know what exactly TDM trying to say??? He's giving an impression that asthough Singapore Malays are suffer like beggers in Singapore.

For TDM's info, besides my Manager (Chinese) non of my Singapore Chinese and Singapore Indian colleagues having car, the most is small motorbike only. Most of them and their family members are travelling by public transport.

Almost all the Singapore Malays are enjoying their life BUT suprisingly whenever they open their mouth, they always will condemn Singapore Government. This is what I don't understand but when I asked to explain clearly, they don't have a good excuse to support their comments except comparing thier life with Malaysian Malays.

So if TDM want more info, I think I can help him to give a clearer picture on Singapore Malays. Even if he wants me to bring him around Singapore also shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks

Malays in Singapore are the most poorest of them all. Don't tembak anyhowlah. You know that we have the highest personal debts in the world?? In a way TUN is right in saying what he said.

Dear Banyakhutang,

Banyak hutang pasal kebiasaannya mereka tu malas..

Maaf sekiranya tulisan saya mengguris hati anda. Sekian dan terima kasih.

Know the Difference: Transition, not Handover.
For the moment, the UMNO leadership crisis appears to have been averted with the announcement of the cabinet portfolio swap between Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his Deputy Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak. As recently as last week, analysts and commentators were anticipating Najib to make a move on the Presidency before the year’s end. And why would they not? After UMNO Vice President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin rekindled the debate about Abdullah’s position, Najib appeared to position himself for an assault on the post when he remarked that the divisions should decide for themselves when the transition should occur – essentially informing that he was more than ready to receive nominations for the post of Party President.

But with the portfolio swap, Najib may not see a need to gun for the Presidency – and by implication Premiership of the country – so soon. Notwithstanding the fact that a transition of power is, as Abdullah quipped, a process and not something carried out overnight, Abdullah must be credited for such a bold move. Skeptics have characterised it as a calculated political decision to neutralise any potential threat from Najib. Political considerations there definitely were, but by paving the way for Najib to take helm of the Ministry of Finance, Abdullah has also demonstrated magnanimity and sincerity to groom his successor for the top job in 2010.

Being Prime Minister with little experience in managing the country’s economy will likely prove a mammoth task for anyone. And as it turns out, Najib is no ordinary figure with an ordinary past. With ample ammunition for the Opposition to take aim at his credibility – the SAS (Sukoi, Altantunya, Submarine) scandals spring to mind as illustrations – a Najib administration could use a head-start in spearheading economic recovery at a time when global financial uncertainty is affecting countries in this region, too.. It is further also to Najib’s convenience that the Budget for the year 2009 has just been announced with much of the implementation left for him to oversee. As such, Najib does not have the baggage of others’ inefficiency to contend with – a prevalent concern whenever an economic plan is carried out.

As things, at least for the time being, cool down with regards to any contest for the Presidency of UMNO, it would be interesting to see Tun Dr.. Mahathir’s next move. Commanding a yet formidable following, his end-game for quite a while now is to unseat Abdullah as Prime Minister. His peculiar friendships with Tengku Razaleigh, Muhyiddin and Najib are telling – those individuals are all nothing more than instruments to his ultimate goal: the downfall of Abdullah.

Ultimately, Abdullah’s supporters will hope that the PM’s move will be repaid with loyalty by Najib. Even to many who may not be Abdullah’s biggest fans are wary of the damage that an open contest will cause the party. Even they would gladly take two more years of Abdullah over the prospect of an internal split that will likely occur should we witness a repeat of the embarrassment suffered by the late Tun Ghafar Baba at the hands of a ruthless Machiavellian by the name of Anwar Ibrahim.
